We wish to recruit a Clinical Senior Lecturer in Reproductive Medicine within the School of Medicine and Dentistry to support an active research programme in Reproductive Medicine. This post, available from August 2010, will provide an ideal opportunity for clinical and research leadership in this field for a Consultant level clinician with a strong research background who wishes to pursue an academic career in the specialty.
You must be a subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine, hold CCT in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and must be on the Specialist Register of the GMC, or eligible for award within 3-6 months of the date of interview.
You should have an MD or PhD and possess extensive experience of innovative research and success in terms of publications and grant income. You will be expected to develop a portfolio of clinical research in infertility which complements existing areas of strength within the School. You will also participate as appropriate in teaching programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and will have teaching responsibilities within the MBChB programme.
It is anticipated that the appointee will be accorded NHS Honorary Consultant status as appropriate and will contribute to the clinical activity within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Consultant scale (£74,504 - £100,446 per annum), with placement according to qualifications and experience.
